Call out Programming Team

As we approach our 20th anniversary this summer we're looking to start a fresh public programme and a new team to help create it. If you're passionate about creating opportunities for others in the arts, from developing residencies, hosting workshops, and curating exhibitions we'll love to hear from you.

What you'll need to know

The main role of the Programming Team is to collaborate, develop, fund, and administrate our public programme. The primary funding for our public programme comes from Arts Council England Project Grants, but we have also received funding from organisations such as UCA, Margate Now, Kent County Council and crowdfunding platforms, as well as funding generated from private hires of the project space and income generated from our studio hires.

While working on the programming team is a primarily voluntary position, there are paid opportunities involved when funding is available.

CRATE Studio and Project Space is a registered charity committed to providing affordable studios and project space to artists who may encounter social, economic and environmental barriers, and would otherwise not have access to a creative space. Therefore all our work, including that of the programming team, must reflect that.

Experience is appreciated but not necessary.

Please send a letter of interest explaining why you would like to be involved, and any experience you have or experience you would like by the 15th June.

Please send all letters of interest to projectspace@cratespace.co.uk with “Programming Team Interest” in the title.
